storyboard

this is a copy of the storyboard that we followed when filming our video

this is a group of photos showing the filming day for our dance scene. for this to be effective we decided to use lights hat were in the dance studio. we had to put in filters and move them to the places that looked best for us.

the filming went really well and we got all of the shots need for our project.

dance

we have looked at our footage and noticed that it is very short and needed some more interesting shots. we have approached some dancers and asked if they would choreograph a dance for some small sections of our piece.

setting up our shoot

for our filming we needed to make sure that it look realistic so we bought some fizzy drinks and biscuits and scatterd them around the room. we also made sure that we remembered where everything was in case we would need to refilm any of the video.

we used all parts of the sound board so that we had more than enough shots to use if one wasnt quite right.

photoshoot

this is a photo that we took whilst playing around with the different styles of lighting. it was done on a black backdrop and looks very effective.

we are planning to use some of these photos on the website and the digioack so we decided we may need some images on a green screen. these are some images of the shots we did for the green screen.

finally this is another shot from the shoot using different settings on the camera to get different effects out of the image.

Green screen

we have done some green screen images and played around with them in the editing software.

this is the final out come of our green screen video

this is the tool we used to create the effectwe also had to ajust the settings so that we got the best look for our video.

Although we wont use this in our final project it is good practice for the photoshoot that we are going to do soon.

storyboard for final idea

the next stage for our new idea is to design a storyboard to dictate our events.

new idea

After looking at the of com regulations we have found many floors in all of our ideas. we thought about using a poker scene but underage gambling was an issue. so we decided that we could do a morning sequence following up say a party from the night before. this was our best idea yet as it follows all of the of com rules and therefore is perfect for our project.

photoshop

today i have spent some time looking at photo shop and learning how to use it in an effective way. i have done this because we are planing to use this program to edit the images from the photo shoot to use on the digipack

website

after some thinking we have decided that some of the images taken at the photo shoot could be used as a background or as pictures on our website. we are also in the process of coming up with some more interesting ideas to go on our website.

re filming

we have decided that the quality of camera shots filmed for our intro are not quite up to standard and need to re filmed. we have allocated some time in which we will go back and re film some of the more wobbly shots.

editing the intro

we have also begun the editing process of the intro for our piece. one of the main problems i noticed when putting the shots together is that some of them dont quite match up and there some continuity issues within this sequence. also some of the camera shots are extremely wobbly and needed to be steady shots. this is a problem that we will need to work on in later filming.

filming the introduction

we have begun the filming process of our film and are testing out differnt methods of moving the camera whilst trying to keep a steady shot.

introduction of the video

we have come up with the idea that most music videos of this genre begin with a kind of intro. we have decided to follow these conventions and create an intro of our own.

dance routine

we have approached some dancers and asked them to choreograph a dance for us to use in our music video. they are currently in the process of doing so and will be ready sometime soon.

digipack

we have decided that for our digipack that we are going to have an image of our main artist on the front and a title of some sorts to go with it. With this i mind we arranged with someone to allow us to use there high leval camera and lighting equipment. we took some shots with a black backdrop and some on green screen.

what is a digipack

A digipack is a fold up booklet that can be found in the front of the disk tray. the main function of a digipack is to give more info into what the cd is about. for example there can be lyrics of a song on the album so that you have a better idea about the songs meaning. also this can be portrayed in the form of an image. these images can be of the artist or some shots of the music videos that will tell the reader what to expect from the cd. this is an example of a digipak. as you can see the image of the artist is used with some information about the songs on this particular cd.
